What Is Mole, Skin Tag and Cyst Removal?
Moles, skin tags, cysts and other benign growths can be quickly and safely removed with a variety of minor procedures.
The removal process starts with a consultation where a dermatologist will consider the size, depth and location of the growths.
Based on the assessment, a recommendation for the method that will offer the best results with little to no scarring will be provided. In most cases, treatment can be done the day of your consultation.
How Mole, Skin Tag and Cyst Removal Works
If you or your doctor are concerned about a mole, cyst or any other lesion and need a dermatological assessment, a referral is required.
Skin tags can be removed without a referral, provided they have been clinically assessed and diagnosed by your family doctor.
Removal of moles, skin tags and other benign lesions is an elective cosmetic treatment and is not covered by OHIP.
