Mole and Skin Tag Removal
Moles, skin tags, and other benign growths can be safely removed with a variety of minor procedures that can be done quickly and comfortably. Moles need to be medically assessed and diagnosed as benign by your family physician before an appointment can be scheduled.
The removal process starts with a consultation where a dermatologist will consider the size, depth, and location of the growths and recommend the method that will offer the best result with little or no scarring. In some cases treatment can be done the day of your consultation.
HOW IT WORKS
If you or your doctor are concerned about a mole, cyst or any other lesion and need a dermatological assessment a referral is required.
Skin tags can be removed without a referral provided they have been clinically assessed and diagnosed by your family doctor.
Removal of moles, skin tags and other benign lesions is an elective cosmetic treatment and is not covered by OHIP
