What Happens at Your First Botox Consultation?
Before treatment, your injector will assess your facial anatomy, muscle strength, movement and goals.
We'll take baseline photos and have you make expressions like smiling, frowning, squinting and raising your brows. This helps us understand how your face naturally moves and create a treatment plan specific to you.

What Does Getting Botox Feel Like?
Before treatment begins, your injector will review your personalized plan with you, including the areas being treated and what you can expect. We'll answer your questions and obtain your consent before proceeding.
If you're being treated by one of our nurse injectors, you'll also meet with one of our Medical Directors, who will review and approve your injectable treatment plan.
The injections themselves are quick and generally well tolerated. You may feel a brief pinch at each injection point, and then you're done.
What Should You Do After Botox?
After treatment, follow the instructions provided by your injector and give your treatment time to settle and take effect.
If you have questions or concerns afterward, contact the clinic.
How Long Does Botox Take to Work?
Botox results develop gradually.
Days 1–3: You may notice very little change.
Days 4–7: Results typically begin to develop.
Up to 14 days: You will see the full effect of your treatment results
Everyone responds at a different pace, so don't judge your final result too early.
Why Is the 2-Week Botox Follow-Up Important?
This is one of the most valuable parts of the process.
Once your results have developed we take after photos. These clinical before and after photos help us assess your individual response to treatment.
That information helps us understand what worked for your face and can help guide future treatments.
Remember: Every Face Is Different
There is no universal Botox treatment plan.
Your anatomy, muscle movement, goals and response all matter, which is why thoughtful assessment is just as important as precise treatment.
ASSESS → TREAT → AFTERCARE → RESULTS DEVELOP → ASSESS AGAIN
Whether you're treated at Dermetics or D2 Medspa by Dermetics, the goal is the same: a treatment plan tailored to you.
The takeaway?
Great results aren't just injected. They're built.
And if it's your first time getting Botox, don't skip the 2-week assessment.
