Dr. Muhn is a Canadian board certified dermatologist. He completed his degree in clinical medicine at McMaster University medical school in Hamilton and his five-year residency in dermatology at McGill University in Montreal.
Following residency, Dr. Muhn undertook an additional one-year fellowship at McGill in Mohs skin cancer reconstructive and cosmetic dermatologic surgery — the only fellowship of its kind in Canada.
Founded in 2004 in partnership with Dr. Nathan Rosen, Dermetics has developed into an iconic dermatology centre, specializing in top of field aesthetic medicine. Some of the Dermetics innovations include injectable microtreatments, combination technology treatments and advanced skin care programs. The centre has a very strong specialization in medical dermatology, skin cancer management and skin reconstruction.

As one of Canada’s leading authorities in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Muhn has played a major role in cosmetic dermatology education. He is an instructor for leading industry manufacturers Allergan, Merz and Galderma, and has demonstrated cosmetic procedures involving injectable treatments to more than 1,000 physicians across North America.
In addition to a focus on exceptional and safe technique, Dr. Muhn is often invited to chair advisory boards, moderate aesthetic meetings and hands-on teaching sessions.
A frequently published author, Dr. Muhn has been an investigator on numerous clinical trials to establish the safety and effectiveness of cosmetic treatments and devices. As a passionate learner and mentor, he continues to lend his skills and expertise to the research and development of treatments and techniques within the industry. Dr. Muhn spent 17 years as a surgical consultant at the Juravinski Cancer Center in Hamilton and as an assistant professor of medicine at McMaster University.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Muhn and his family are actively involved in community outreach, local sports teams and church. Dr. Muhn regularly travels to developing countries on medical missions with Speroway and serves on its board of directors.
