HArmonyCa™, Allergan Aesthetics' dual-action regenerative filler, has officially received Health Canada approval and is now available at Dermetics. And while it may be new to Canada, it is far from new to us.

What is HArmonyCa™?
HArmonyCa™ is a first-of-its-kind combination product, a single injectable that pairs hyaluronic acid (HA) filler with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), a proven collagen stimulator. The result is a treatment that works on two timelines simultaneously.

You see visible contouring and lift from the moment of treatment, while the CaHA component gets to work stimulating your own collagen, improving skin quality, firmness, and structural support as months pass. It's not a filler. It's not a biostimulator. It's both, working in harmony.
Our history with HArmonyCa™
Dermetics has been at the forefront of this treatment from day one in Canada. We participated in Canada's first HArmonyCa™ clinical trial in 2022, giving our team early, hands-on insight into how this product performs on real patients over time.
In 2025, Dr. Rosen travelled to Brazil to train directly with Dr. André Braz — one of the world's leading authorities on HArmonyCa™ — gaining hands-on patient treatment experience in the technique he has helped pioneer globally.
Ahead of its official Canadian launch, Dermetics was among the very first clinics in the country to use the product, and we had the privilege of training an elite group of healthcare providers on proper injection technique and patient selection.
As early ambassadors of HArmonyCa™, Dr. Muhn and Dr. Rosen have been invited to teach at the national launch meeting in Montreal ahead of the product's official Canadian launch at the end of May 2026, presenting on the science behind the product, and sharing their early experience with the product to the 300 plus attendees.
So yes, we're excited. But more than that, we're prepared.
How does HArmonyCa™ compare to Sculptra?
Patients often ask how HArmonyCa™ differs from Sculptra, the poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator many are already familiar with. Both stimulate collagen — but that is roughly where the similarities end.

In the words of our physicians: Sculptra creates a broad, diffuse improvement in skin quality and volume across a region. HArmonyCa™ is far more specific — you are directing where the structural improvement happens, with a precision that mirrors the artistry of filler placement, while still achieving the long-term regenerative benefits of a biostimulator.
Neither product is "better" — they serve different goals. For patients seeking targeted contouring with lasting skin improvement and immediate results, HArmonyCa™ represents a significant advance.
Is HArmonyCa™ right for you?
HArmonyCa™ is best suited for patients looking to address volume loss, skin laxity, and reduced structural support — particularly in the mid-face, jawline, and cheek regions — who want results they can see right away and continue to see over the coming months. It is also an excellent option for those who prefer fewer treatment sessions than Sculptra typically requires.
As with all injectables at Dermetics, a thorough consultation with Dr. Muhn or Dr. Rosen is the first step. We'll review your anatomy, your goals, and whether HArmonyCa™ — alone or in combination with other treatments — is the right approach for you.
